LAND GODDESSES
Hathor,
the White
Buffalo Calf Woman,
Our Lady of Guadalupe
She is a winged star
that travels among us
disguised as a cow,
stretches into form
with a song that carries
the scent of roses,
feeds us through time
honored prayer beads
Her Light/Dark star wings
extend through the many
fingers of healers,
milks us of the complicated
bundles we use to carry our lives,
leaves us empty with love.
